Miguel A. Rivera, DVM

Dr. Rivera graduated from Tuskegee University, Alabama in 2004. He then moved to Florida and worked at an animal hospital in St. Cloud before opening his own practice in 2008.   He currently lives in Orlando with his wife and their new dog, Petunia. His clinical interest include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and dermatology.


Ina L. Hernandez, DVM

Dr. Hernandez obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biology at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez in 2002. She then joined Tuskegee University in Alabama where she received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After graduation, Dr. Hernandez completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Missouri University-Columbia. Her major interests include internal and preventative medicine.
Dr. Hernandez joined our practice in October 2010. She lives in Orlando with her husband and their new dog, Cosita. 


Carolina Dijkhoffz, DVM

Dr. Dijkhoffz, born and raised in Puerto Rico, has been part of the Lake Nona Animal Clinic family for quite some years now. She actually volunteered and shadowed Dr Rivera and Dr Hernandez while she attended the University of Central Florida, where she received her Bachelors Degree of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She then moved to Alabama and attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine for her DVM. Her clinical special interests include ophthalmology and internal medicine. She is now living back here in Orlando with her husband and their three fur babies, Diego, Oliver, and Pocholo. 


Gladys Usera:

Gladys is our practice manager. She has been with us since the start in 2008 as a receptionist, technician, and inventory manager. She took a year off in 2011 and rejoined our team in August of 2012 right after finishing her bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Central Florida. She lives close by with her three dogs and enjoys taking them on nature adventures like the beach, hikes, and kayaking. 


Burgundi Weatherholtz:

Burgundi has been part of our team since December 2010 as a receptionist. She has been in the Veterinary field since 2005, volunteering through high school at Reptile World and Osceola Animal Shelter. She also attended the veterinary assisting program Level 1-4 at Harmony High School. Burgundi enjoys nature and the outdoors. In her spare time she likes to work on crafts, baked goods, and jewelry to sell at local events.

Saoni Sanz:

Saoni joined our team August, 2016 as a full-time veterinary technician. She had been working at an animal clinic in Puerto Rico prior to here. She truly has a passion for her career and loves animals. She lives in Davenport and enjoys watching movies and reading on her time off.
